When Sam and Dean Winchester were just kids, their mother was horribly murdered in front of their father by something “supernatural”. Their lives were never the same again. After their mother’s murder, their father took an interest in the supernatural and the unexplained and raised the boys as warriors with skills to fight back against the unknown and protect the innocent. 22 years later, with Sam and Dean grown up, their father suddenly disappears on a suppose routine supernatural hunt. Sam and Dean search for their father and along the way help anyone with a supernatural problem with the help from their dad’s journal that contains most of his knowledge about the supernatural that he had accumulated over his 22 years of none-stop obsessive hunting.

The “Secret Circle” series follows 16-year-old Cassie, who moves from California to live with her grandmother in New Salem and falls in love with a mysterious boy named Adam. But, when she enrolls in high school there, she realizes that he, she and all the other elite students at the school are witches! She befriends their leader, Diana, but soon discovers that Adam and Diana are dating, which leads to a whole bunch of complicated drama.
Set in the fictional town of Chance Harbor, Washington, the series revolves around six teenage witches who form a secret coven.
Following the death of her mother, Cassie Blake moves to Chance Harbor to live with her grandmother. The orphaned sixteen-year old slowly adjusts to the new town as she copes with the loss of her mother, but still tries to live normally. Her hopes of blending in are crushed when she is recognized by a few of the townspeople and their children, namely Adam, Diana, Faye, Melissa, and Nick. The five of them seem strangely interested in Cassie, and reveal to her that she comes from a long line of witches. She refuses to believe that she herself is a witch until Adam helps her unlock her powers – even then she is uncertain until she discovers an old leather-bound book of spells left to her by her mother. Inside the book is a message to Cassie from her mother explaining that she never wanted to tell her daughter of her powers in order to keep her safe; as the circle soon finds out, their powers attract dark and dangerous attention that constantly puts them in harm’s way.
Honestly one of my favorite fiction series for 2011.
Probably one of the most underrated TV series ever – “The Adventures of Brisco County Jr”. I’ve watch it when I was a kid, a couple of days ago, I found it on DVD and I can say that 20 years later, series are still so cool.
Hired by local robber barons, Harvard Law Graduate Brisco County, Jr. searches for the members of the infamous John Bly gang, the same men who killed his father, a famous marshal and western legend. Accompanied by his one-time rival and fellow bounty hunter Lord Bowler, Brisco rides through the West trying to bring his father’s killers to justice. Along the way, he encounters mysterious golden orbs with strange abilities and colorful characters who help or hinder his mission as he hunts down the Bly gang one by one.
The exploits of four friends, who are socially only marginally above what one of them calls “the freaks”, are presented as they grow from their late teen years into adults and as they go on their quest, usually unsuccessfully, for such grown up things as beer and sex. Simon Cooper, Jay Cartwright and Neil Sutherland have been friends for some time. Insecure Simon’s main quest in life is to get long time friend, Carli D’Amato, to be his girlfriend. Jay is the big talker whose stories, especially about his sexual conquests, are more fantasy than reality. And slightly dim-witted Neil is generally two steps behind everyone else in comprehension of life, and who is always defending his father from beliefs that he’s a closet homosexual. Into the group comes its fourth member, Will McKenzie, who met them when he transferred into their school, Rudge Park Comprehensive, at the start of sixth form, as Will’s newly divorced mum could no longer afford his private school tuition. Nerdish and straight-laced Will, ridiculed for carrying a briefcase, insinuated himself in the group – not aiming his sights too high – as he tried not to be labeled as one of the freaks. Regardless, he is still the target of the school’s “psycho bully”, Mark Donovan, and the head of Rudge Park’s sixth form, Mr. Gilbert. Will’s initial saving grace in bonding with his new mates may have been that they all want to shag his pretty but protective mother, Polly.
Portland detective, Nick Burkhardt, has seen some gruesome crime scenes, but nothing prepares him for the strange visions he begins seeing: seemingly regular people momentarily transforming into hideous monsters. A visit from his only living relative reveals the truth. Nick has inherited the ability to see supernatural creatures, and as a “Grimm,” he is tasked with keeping the balance between mankind and the mythological. A reformed “Big Bad Wolf” becomes his greatest (and also reluctant) ally and confidant. It’s not long before his work as a policeman leads Nick to the criminals he once thought were only found in fairy tales.

I personally like it, it seems that is getting more and more interesting.
Alphas is an American science fiction dramatic television series created by Zak Penn and Michael Karnow. The series follows a group of people with superhuman abilities, known as “Alphas”, as they work to prevent crimes committed by other Alphas.
The series is broadcast in the United States on the cable channel Syfy and is a co-production between BermanBraun and Universal Cable Productions.
When a witness is inexplicably murdered in a locked room at a federal courthouse, Dr. Lee Rosen is put on the case. He leads a team of “Alphas”, human beings with enhanced abilities due to differences in their brain structure: Gary Bell, a highly functioning autistic with an ability to process information that rivals most computers; Bill Harken, a former FBI agent who can amp up his “fight or flight” reflex, giving him extraordinary strength for a brief period of time; Nina Theroux, a beautiful woman who can reprogram other people’s minds to do as she bids; and Rachel Pirzad, a sheltered Persian girl who can intensify one sense at the expense of the others. However, with said powers comes a price – for Gary, autism which makes him a child for all intents and purposes; for Harken, severe anger issues that cost him his job and family; for Rachel, struggling to overcome her parents shame at her “illness”; and Nina, never really knowing how those close to her actually feel. In any case, they’ve all come together for the common good with Rosen as their mentor, teaching them to further control their abilities with each passing day. As for the courthouse murder, it’s not long before the team uncovers that one of their own kind was responsible – Cameron Hicks, a former Marine sharpshooter with supernatural balance and aim (he guided the bullet through a ventilation duct). After bringing him in, however, they realize someone even more powerful was pulling the strings… someone with a new technology that can be used to mimic one of the team’s gifts.
Here is the trailer:
It is decent movie and I would recommend this one for family series and for people that like plot which includes super heroes.
During the Great Depression, an Oklahoma farm boy and a charismatic minister learn that they are key players in a proxy war being fought between Heaven and Hell.
I’ve watched the 2 seasons on HBO, really great production, kind of fairy tale and fight between good and bad.
I am not 100% sure, but I’ve heard that this series have been discontinued.
